What was left out when posted was that these are Targeted Impact submissions. So yeah ... they are definitely rougher around the edges than the figures we commission to be made. That's why we don't pay anything up front for Targeted sculpts. They are a chance for the sculptor to get his work cast and out to the public. If they are any good ... they'll make a lot more on the sculpt than we would have paid a professional to make it ... if not ... then the money will only trickle in for them but they will have 10 castings of their sculpt.
I freely admit that these are not nearly the qualtity of say the Timberline Elf Hunters we had come out on the same day or the ARBBL Limited Edition figure we have coming out next week. But that is the difference between a professional and an amateur sculptor.
We could discontinue the Targeted program so that every figure we add to the store is only commissioned quality ... but Impact! was started to help the hobby including starting sculptor and not just to try to make money so I've always defended keeping the program going.
