Okay the change to the Dark Elf thrower was done for 4 reasons:Alfheimer escribió:De todos modos, me pregunto que os ha movido a cambiar el lanzador elfo oscuro. :).
1) Many teams do not purchase a thrower until late in the team's development.
2) The 'evil tax' where the Dark Elf Thrower paid 10k more than a High Elf Thrower for the exact same stats.
3) The fact that the background of the team always has said that the Dark Elf team is a running team but the roster was actually more built toward passing.
4) The Dark Elf team was very expensive to get all the positionals players and making the team a little cheapers seemed like a good idea.
So mixing all those 4 things together and we got the following answers:
1) Make the player more desirable earlier.
2) Get rid of the Evil tax
3) Make the Thrower faster and have a skill better for the running game than Pass
4) Make the player cheaper.
In the end ... mixing all of this together we came up with the Dark Elf Runner.
So far he has been fairly popular. Of the 10 Dark Elf teams in my league, 8 of them have at least one Runner. We are finding that several of the Dark Elf teams are now taking Runners and Assassins and waiting to purchase Witch Elves for later which is a big change from old Dark Elf strategy.
Having played against one of these 10 teams and losing ... it was definitely an interesting team. The Assassins made following up on blocks dangerous as I would move directly into a free stab if I did. And 2 times the Dump Off Runners were able to pitch the ball away successfully (although I intercepted the 3rd try). It made the team a lot different and it definitely felt when playing against it like it was a true running team now. In fact ... I'd have to check .. but I'm not sure he passed the entire game other than the 3 Dump Off passes.
