Hi guys ... many apologies that I only know English. Had 5 years of French but even that is rusty now.

I wanted to come over and offer to answer any questions you guys have on the new rules coming for LRB 5.0.

ANY questions ... like:
How does this rule work?
Why did you make this change?
or any other questions ... ask anything.

For those that do not know. I'm a player just like all of you ... not an employee of GW. However Jervis Johnson gave me the job of finishing a new version of Blood Bowl after he and I worked on it from March 2004 through July 2005 with the help of any playtesters we could find. So at this point ... if I decide it goes or stays it does (and yes that is a heavy responsibility that keeps me up at night).

So I really would like to answer any questions that anyone has about anything related to the new rules.

Also since I know the Spanish players are a very large group. I've agreed to work with Grotuk so he can translate the LRB 5.0 and get a Spanish version created.

Grotuk has offered to translate my posts and questions to me ... thanks for that Grotuk.

Para los que no me conozcan. Yo soy un jugador como vosotros...no un empleado de GW. De todas formas, Jervis Johnson (el creador del juego N. del T.) me encomendo la tarea de finalizar la nueva version del Blood Bowl despues de que el y yo trabajasemos en el desde Marzo del 2004 hasta Julio del 2005 con la ayuda de los playtesters (probadores de reglas) que pudimos encontrar. Asi que, llegados a este punto...yo soy el que decide si una regla se queda o se suprime definitivamente (y si, esa es una gran responsabilidad que me desvela por las noches).

Asi que realmente me gustaría responderos a todas las preguntas que pudierais tener acerca de las nuevas reglas.

Ademas, como se que hay muchos jugadores españoles, he llegado a un acuerdo para trabajar junto con Grotuk para traducir para tener una versión española de las reglas.

Grotuk se ha ofrecido a traducirme los mensajes y las preguntas asi que...gracias Grotuk. (not at all)

Lo mas gordo son clarificaciones y algun cambio de habilidades en jugadores.

Y creo que se entiende...sale publicada la version defitiniva del 1.11 el 15 de febrero. Lo que hay ahora todavia es un borrador que puede variar.

De momento se han cargado el "very long legs" (pirenas muy largas para Anubis ). Ya no resulta nada rentable.

Nunca se sabe......habrá que esperar el trabajo minucioso de los 'combistas' (combo por aqui, combo por allí......)

Si si, pero vamos, que no creo que gaste nadie una mutación para interceptar mejor.

Bueno, si un Corredor de Alcantarillas (MO = 9) adquiere Carrera y Piernas Muy Largas ya puede recorrer 13 casillas. Si está situado en una de las casillas paralelas a la Línea de Defensa y recibe el balón ya puede marcar un Touchdown... claro que es caso muy hipotético.

Hi Galak, and thanks for your kind offer. I've got some questions:

Why going back to the 3rd edition fouling system? The current system makes you think twice when performing a 2nd foul if the opponent doesn't foul after your 1st one. That makes pretty dangerous fouling if your oppponent doesn't. Instead, the 3rd edition fouling system (although funnier; I may admit that) allows a coach to constantly foul independently of what the opponent does.

Why taking out the aging rules? They were not nice at all (we all hated them), but they did lower the potential of the strongest teams. Therefore, it was a good rule to lower the gap between strongest and not-so-strong teams. Also, they did not allow you to focus all your strategy in your star players. The more they gained skills, the more chances to get an age-niggling.

Some say that secret weapons are not being successful among playtesters. Is that true? If it is, why do you think it's happening? Secret weapons look an interesting option to me...
