En fumbbl han tenido que quitar los enlaces y se esta buscando nombres para razas ue tienen registradas. Los clientes nuevos ya no salen en descargas por que les ha llegado la cartita...

A partir de ahora se va a escuchar mucho la frase de Fantasy Futbol. En los clientes online nuevo sobre todo .

Bueno veremos como termina esto. Si BBRC continua en el futuro sin presiones o la comunidad tendra que crear un FFRC...

What will happen to the rules post-LRB6? What is the position of the now defunct BBRC?

I can answer this one as it doesn't have anything to do with me and GW legal right now.

See I honestly think LRB 6.0 should be the rules for Blood Bowl for a decent amount of time.

When I see folks talk about LRB 7.0 ... I see them saying things like "let's completely redo the Human and Amazon teams (and I mean really redo)." or "let's make Chaos a lot worse (very popular right now on the Cyanide forums".

And if this is what would happen with an LRB 7.0 ... than I think I'm pretty good with stopping at LRB 6.0. We spent a lot of effort over the last 3 years to get the teams into winning bands based on league play.

Those bands were:

Tier 1: All teams not mentioned below (winning 45% to 55% of their games in league play)
Tier 1.5: Underworld, Chaos Pact, Slann (winning 40% to 50% of their games in league play)
Tier 2: Vampire (winning 45% to 35% of their games in league play)
Tier 3: Halfling, Ogre, Goblin (winning 35% to 30% of their games in league play)

The data we have is that with LRB 6.0 we pretty much finally nailed these tiers that we were aiming for. Totally redoing from scratch some of the basic races ... and you have to start this process all over again.

I really do think that having LRB 6.0 be the Blood Bowl rules for a good 5 or more years is a good thing for the game. The rulebook doesn't have to change every year for Blood Bowl to be an awesome game. It has a great rulebook now ... if GW posts it (which I believe they will) ... then its just up to tournaments and leagues to show new players how great it is. The game won't die just because the rulebook isn't quite living anymore.

I'm not going anywhere either. I had a massive influence on what became the rules for Blood Bowl for LRB 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 even though I wasn't on the BBRC. I ran the main playtest league that tried out ideas for the BBRC before I was a member and those games had a lot of effect on what was done. I also assembled the discussion list from forum discussions for the BBRC to us to know what to talk about. So while I was not on the BBRC for the first 3 LRBs ... I did give them most of their playtest data and set the agenda for them to discuss. So while I'm not officially on the BBRC on anymore ... if there is a LRB 7.0 someday ... I'll be right in the thick of it ... trust me.

To be honest, when it comes to LRB7, I am thinking more of a 6.1. There are some minor things that might need some polishment. Even you have mentioned them in some threads
(Making diving tackle and tentacles useful against leap is the first that comes to my mind right now.)

I agree that having a stable ruleset for a long period will be beneficial. Besides, you can't please everybody all the time, look at the Khemri change, for instance.

By the way, was the possibility of just making the mummies ST 4 even considered? That option arose in this forum some days ago, and I was amazed at how simple and effective seems at first glance.

I agree with you almost all the times. I had the pleasure to read your explanations in TBB and for interviews couple of times, I think you're right. Your effort never will be forgotten, at least for the BloodBowl players. And that counts.

I expect LRB 6.0 working for some years, and I really think that just minimal updates are necessary at this time. Mainly thanks to your work on it.

So, however, I never give up. I will dreams with ST3 human catcher and Necro 60 RR for ever

1- Los que no conocen a GW opinan desde su bisoñez. Los veteranos conocen el amplio historial de GW relacionado con exprimir a sus jugadores, licencias y olvidarse de todo lo que no sea $$$$. Como dije en otro momento, es su marca y pueden hacer lo que quieran, pero tratar de esa manera a sus clientes no lo veo una postura muy inteligente en cuanto a marketing.

Bueno, desde unos.... 12 años metido en el BB, creo que puedo dar una mínima opinión...

GW jamás le ha prestado atención al BB. La última vez que apareció un artículo en su panfleto fue para presentar a los norses como equipo.

NADA de lo que GW ha tocado ha ido a mejor.

Ediciones del warhammer que duran un suspiro (ya se plantean la octava), libros de ejército y razas que desaparecen a la siguiente edición o no se actualizan jamás (ogros, bretonia, khemri...), campañas y polladas varias sin fuste, sin trasfondo, sin lógica (tormenta del caos) miniaturas bastante feas y pobres en calidad (rackham, sin ir más lejos, les da mil patadas. O freeboter. O... )

De 40K conozco menos, pero imagino que otro tanto.

Juegos nuevos? Sus principales "descubrimientos", tales como Apocalipsis o Aeronáutica Imperialis (con este último ya me cuesta contener la risa) no los compra ni el tato. Por caros, por necesitar 1000 minis, por absurdos... (no, espera, que ese tanque que te costó 95 euros y que llevas pintando tres meses te lo mato al primer disparo...)

La Guerra del Anillo ya no es lo que era. Porque no hay pelis que nos enamoren, y aunque seguro que hay gente que lo juega, mi "publicidad gratuita gracias a Mr. Peter Jackson" ya no es tan eficaz.

Qué esperáis del futuro? GW meterá el BB en su garra de hielo, y volveremos a pasar una nueva edad oscura sin mucho foro ni mucha novedad. Si se atreven a volver el Ojo hacia los torneos, pueden jodernos un poco (Haritz tiene bastante razón). Y a cambio, nos pondrán una mesita o dos pa jugar en su Games Day .

Ahora bien, mientras haya minis alternativas y demás, pues supongo que saldremos adelante. Ya lo hemos hecho antes.

Y.. teniendo un juego de PC con LRB 5 que se está vendiendo bien, pensais que a GW le interesa sacar el LRB 6?

Haceos a la idea. Ni comunidad de jugadores ni na de na. NO TENEIS 10 AÑOS. NO EXISTÍS PARA GW.

Cuando jugando con algun chaval le digo que busque tal o cual articulo de tacticas para cosas que me pregunta siempre piensa que hablo del foro de cyanide y si intenta entrar aqui no puede al instante con lo que muchos no reintentarán,...
