No I read that it was just an example. But here is the thing. IT was a REAL bad example.Chou escribió:I'm really growing sick and tired of all this shit.

GW Licensing talked to me a few years ago about Elfball. I've been told that legal acknowledges that Elfball while another fantasy football game is just that: its a fantasy football game. GW cannot claim to own the sole rights to fantasy football games (otherwise they'd have sued Hasbro for Battle Ball which did steal concepts from Blood Bowl). Elfball has a hex based circle pitch, different teams, different stats, different rules for how you do things like pass or tackle, you move either one or two players at a time instead of an entire team. Its an entirely different game and there is no way to argue that the game is an IP infringment on Blood Bowl. So at least on this note ... don't worry about that one. And this whole thing had nothing to do with Impact! or Elfball. At least the letter I got from legal removing me from the BBRC didn't mention either of those topics.

Okay ... did my 3 laps around the house to cool off.
If you honestly didn't mean your example ... than I'm sorry for insulting you. It is still difficult for me to believe you would use such a horrible example if you didn't partially believe it to be true ... but if you didn't .. than I agree I had no reason to let you have it. I would respectfully ask you to not use examples that are that insulting in the future especially for folks who have just been kicked in the balls by a company they just dedicated 5 years to helping and get forcibly removed without so much as a thank you. Such folks tend to be in bad moods and are easily set off.![]()
I know you think you need to hear GW's side ... but think about this for one second. If you owned a company and someone spent thousands of unpaid hours to make your game the best it has ever been (I'm using BoardGameGeek.com voting to base this on not personal opinion) and sat through 2 years of Beta testing with Cyanide helping correct them all along the way as they made rules errors. If you were closing down the group that did all this work ... ie the role he and they had done was completely finished and they didn't need to do anything else ... would you kick him in the nuts and remove him from a group via legal means when the group is already closed? Really my question to you is simple ... would you go through the effort to legally kick that guy in the nuts and have it announced to the public that you've done so if the action you took had no actual impact on anything?
If you can think of a reason you would do this ... good enough ... I know GW legal won't be issuing any statements on this one so you'll never have both sides. I just question on this one if both sides are actually needed to make a call here?
